This and that

Well I guess things have started to settle down a little since the weekend trip back to kansas. Aaron and I got a lot accomplished while we were home- between wedding appointments and meeting w/ friends and family it was really a good trip home. It had been too long since I'd hung out w/ all of my college friends and I had such a good time the whole weekend. But now it's back to Colorado and the reality of working every day. But there have been a few bright spots.

1. Incredible weather. It has been over 50 degrees this whole week and got up to 74 yesterday. You can't ask for much better weather than that. And I've gotten off at 3 in the afternoon two days this week so I actually got to enjoy the weather a little.

2. I found out that I am invited to an interview day at DU for the grad program I applied for. I think that is definitely a good sign since the letter told me that my application had been "favorably reviewed". Plus, I got the day off work already too. So I'm very excited by this opportunity. Hopefully it goes well and I'll be back in school (and debt) soon.

3. Wedding plans are coming along quite nicely. I might w/ our florist while at home and I feel much more comfortable knowing more of what's going to go on. My florist actually got married at the same place I am, so she answered a lot of questions for me on that front as well.

4. I haven't actually been hating work lately. I've been in a pre-K class all week while the lead teacher was on vacation (down in New Orleans, I'm so jealous) and I feel like I'm actually teaching right now. Plus, I found out that two other lead teachers (in preschool classes) have requested to have me in their rooms the next two weeks while they are also on vacation. So that makes me feel pretty good that other people I work w/ think I'm good in the classroom. Plus, that means I won't have to change a single diaper for 3 WHOLE WEEKS!!! Obviously, this is an exciting prospect for me.

So that's basically my life in a nutshell right now. I'm getting ready to go watch tv by myself until I go to bed since Aaron is still at work and will be until 2:00 in the morning. Feel sorry for him, bc I sure do.
