Getting Settled

After yet another relapse (let's face it, they're going to occur often) I have finally returned to the land of online journaling. And I'm happy to report that at the moment I am relaxing on the couch in our new home:) It seemed as though there was going to be no end to the supply of boxes to move and unpack this weekend. But we had tons of help from my parents and brother and our awesome friends. There's no way we could've accomplished all that we did in two days without them and we're so grateful to them all. But we've got probably 75% of everything stashed in the right places and are now trying to finish up w/ all the little stuff. Not too bad considering 5 days ago we were still living in the apartment. But we're now proud homeowners and are trying to adjust to the new location. Oh and I'm also working on the next goal- a dog:)

So that has taken up a huge part of my life lately. We've also started practicing for our co-ed softball league that starts here in a couple weeks. I'm not sure that we're going to be all that good, but it's really been a lot of fun getting out there and playing again. I've already successfully cleated myself while playing outfield and diving for a ball. I should add that I probably wouldn't have dove accept for the fact that I heard Aaron yell something about the batter getting a single- insinuating that I was going to miss it- and I apparently had to prove that I could catch it. All in all, everyone found it pretty amusing and tried to yell at me when the ball was hit my way to see if it would have the same affect. But we determined that it's only Aaron's criticism that forces me to put out the extra effort :)

Also, I'm getting pretty excited bc I think that we're going to go camping this weekend finally and take a quick float trip. It should be a nice break since we've been stuck in the city for a while bc of all the house stuff and then packing and unpacking. So it's going to be a much-needed break for Aaron and I both. Well, gotta go unpack some more. Just wanted to procrastinate a little this afternoon and veg out on the couch...
