Turning over a new leaf / life

Well, now that the wedding is over and we've settled back into our normal routine, I finally have the time and desire to update this damn thing. I've been nagged enough and am finally giving in. Plus, I really don't mind it too much. I just haven't had the time to do it for a while. So I figured, while we start our new married life together, I'll also start trying to update my blog on a fairly regular basis (even though I think the only person who reads this is my mom).

So... what's going on in my life lately? Well, I've come very close to quitting my job more than once in the past month. But I'm sticking it out for now to give myself a chance to find a new job before I quit. The whole unemployment thing doesn't sound horribly fun to me. Well, that's not entirely true. I think I'd really enjoy being home and sleeping in, but those paycheck things sure are nice. So I suppose I'll last a little longer. At least the day camp is starting this week, which I'm sort of in charge of (depending on who you ask), and I'll get to be w/ grade school kids from now on. Which means I won't have to deal w/ toddlers anymore- thank GOD.

Aaron and I are doing great. It really is true that being married doesn't feel all that different or change our lives very much right now. We'd already been living together and had joint bank accounts. So really the only thing to change is my name (which is sort of weird). But we've been getting along great and are starting to plan our honeymoon for next fall. And we're both really looking forward to the summer when we can go camping every weekend.

On a completely random side note, my birthday is coming up next week and I really feel sorry for any mothers who have their babies on my birthday this year. Seeing as how the date will be 06/06/06 I'm sure that they'll catch a lot of crap in their adolescent years. It was bad enough for me when I was only born on 6/6/83- not three 6's. So I can only imagine what they'll go through. But anyways, yeah my 23rd birthday coming up. And I can't say that I'm really looking forward to it all that much. It'll be my first birthday away from all my family and friends back in Kansas and it's in the middle of the week. So it doesn't look horribly promising as of right now. Oh well, still a week to go. Maybe all my friends will drive in and surprise me... I highly doubt it, but I guess it could happen. I'll have to wait and see I guess. All right, that's all for now. I promise to try and update more often- at least more than once every two months :)
