Champions, Promotion of Sorts, and Clarification

So the last couple days have been pretty busy. The coed softball league that Aaron and I have been playing on (along w/ half of the readers of this blog:) started the end-of-season tournament a few weeks ago and we found ourselves playing in the championship game last night. We were a little bit aprehensive as we had lost to the team we were playing against- they'd actually only lost one game all season and it was a forfeit- but we played really well and ended up ending the game early by getting ahead by 10 points by the fifth inning! So we not only beat them by a lot, but we are now the winners of the tournament- yeah!! We got a plaque and t-shirts and everything! And as some of you know, I'm more than a tad competitive, so I was very glad that we did well throughout the season:)

Next in line of important things that have happened to me lately. I was recently offered to teach my own preschool class starting in less than two weeks. I actually filled in for this specific class for 2 and a half weeks last month while the lead teacher was getting married, so I already know the kids really well and the schedule of the room. And I really get along well with the assistant I would be working with. So even though I was not originally planning on working at the center for very much longer, I figure why not give it a try? It's an increase in pay, and I haven't really figured out what else I think I would like to do right now- and who knows, I may end up not hating it.

And lastly, after receiving more than one email or phone call in reference to one of my previous postings, I think I need to either rephrase and clear something up. When I said that we may end up moving back to Kansas a little bit sooner since I'm no longer in the grad program out here, I did NOT mean that we would be packing anytime in the near future. Sorry guys:). Even though I miss everyone at home so much, it just wouldn't be smart for us yet. Since we did just buy a house and all, it will take a couple years before we could sell without losing a bunch of money. Plus, Aaron's work is going pretty well and he'd like to be able to work there for a few years to build up his resume before looking for another job. So needless to say, we won't be moving home by Christmas as some of you have tried to imply:) Anyways, that's all that's going on with me for now. If any of you would like to post a comment sometime, it'd be great to know that someone actually reads this occassionally!!
